Labor Day 07. High over Hwy 395 after launching Sweetwater, looking west toward Wolf launch. You can see the marine base just over the small lake in the center of the photo. I didn't have anyone willing to chase me so I flew toward the Sierras.
Looking back at the Sweetwater Range from a few miles farther west of the above photo. Launch is to the left of the photo above the shadow. It was a smoking good day with cloudbase around 15000'.
My new to me Laminar in Pickle Meadow LZ, next to the marine base. Wolf launch is right above the highway in front of my glider. The highest point on the ridge in the back.
This is from the next day when I flew from Sweetwater to Bridgeport, which is just across Bridgeport Reservoir. Mono Lake is in the distance and Twin Lakes can be seen to the right.
